{"id":963,"date":"2020-12-30T15:41:57","date_gmt":"2020-12-30T07:41:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/common-sense-contentment.com\/?p=963"},"modified":"2020-12-30T15:42:57","modified_gmt":"2020-12-30T07:42:57","slug":"i-am-grateful","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/common-sense-contentment.com\/index.php\/2020\/12\/30\/i-am-grateful\/","title":{"rendered":"I am grateful"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>At the end of this challenging year I am taking a moment to <strong>be less grumpy and more grateful. <\/strong> I don&#8217;t acknowledge my blessings nearly often enough, much less pay them forward as much as I should &#8211; that is what I am going to work on from now on.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am very grateful for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The health of my loved ones.<\/li><li>My life and all the joy and incredible opportunities and freedoms I have been given.<\/li><li>My children, who heap blessings of love, affection and amazement on every single day. (Also their challenges which remind me I&#8217;m vulnerable, tenacious, capable, still learning and lucky to be sane some days).<\/li><li>Nature.<\/li><li>Freedom &#8211; it is not lost on me how much of a gift this truly is.<\/li><li>My family, immediate and extended, who love me and accept my path, even if they don&#8217;t agree with it.<\/li><li>My friends on many continents &#8211; some of whom I&#8217;ve known for over 40 years and some of whom are very new to my world. <\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: 0.875rem;\">Music. <\/span><\/li><li>My faith in God and the universe of love. <\/li><li>Creativity in all its manifestations in my life.<\/li><li>Experiences, good and bad, all of which have shaped me.<\/li><li>The Goth scene and those key players in my life who brought it out in me.<\/li><li>Memories, the good kind.<\/li><li>Self belief.<\/li><li>Sparkling wine.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"
